According to Al Jazeera, Lebanese families returning to homes in southern Lebanon’s so-called “pilot zones” found widespread destruction in Zawtar al Gharbiya.

Lebanon’s army accused Israel of bulldozing homes and obstructing its efforts to escort residents back to the designated areas.

Israeli forces remained positioned nearby as residents returned, Al Jazeera reported.

The report described families confronting rubble where homes had stood in Zawtar al Gharbiya.
