Savannah Guthrie, a prominent NBC news anchor, has announced that her family is offering a $1 million reward for information leading to the return of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who has been missing for 24 days. In a heartfelt Instagram video, Savannah expressed her family’s deep longing for Nancy, who is 84 years old and is believed to have been abducted from her home in Tucson, Arizona.

“We still believe in a miracle, we still believe that she can come home – hope against hope,” Savannah said, fighting back tears. The family is also contributing $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to aid in the search.

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing around midday on February 1 after failing to attend church services. The Pima County Sheriff’s Office suspects that she was taken against her will, possibly in the early hours of the morning. The family has made multiple public appeals for her safe return, seeking proof that she is alive.

Authorities have released images of a prime suspect who was captured on Nancy’s doorbell camera. This individual reportedly visited her home prior to her disappearance. The FBI’s Phoenix office has urged anyone with “firsthand knowledge” of Guthrie’s whereabouts to contact their tip line. Previously, the reward for information was set at $200,000, split between the FBI and Tucson Crime Stoppers.

Detectives have received nearly 40,000 tips from the public. DNA evidence collected from a glove found near Nancy’s home, which resembled one worn by the suspect, did not yield any matches in the FBI database. Investigators have ruled out all members of the Guthrie family as potential suspects, with Sheriff Chris Nanos emphasizing that suggesting otherwise is both incorrect and cruel.
