A vibrant celebration of culture, creativity and community is set to light up South West Sydney as the Macarthur Multicultural Children’s Festival returns in 2026—bigger, brighter and more magical than ever.

Taking place on Sunday 3 May at Koshigaya Park in Campbelltown, this much-loved event invites families from across the region to come together for a day filled with excitement, learning and connection. With free entry, the festival offers an inclusive and welcoming space where children and adults alike can explore the richness of cultures from around the world.

From the moment attendees arrive, children will be immersed in an interactive cultural adventure. Each child receives a “passport” to guide them through a journey of discovery—collecting stamps, completing challenges and unlocking prizes along the way. This unique experience not only entertains but also encourages curiosity and appreciation for diversity from a young age.

One of the festival’s highlights is the colourful Grand Parade, where families are encouraged to dress in traditional cultural attire or as their favourite characters. The parade brings the entire event to life, showcasing the beauty of multicultural expression while offering participants the chance to win prizes.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a dynamic program of live performances, featuring music and dance from across the globe. Roving entertainers, hands-on creative activities, and a bustling marketplace filled with international food and crafts ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Founded by Campbelltown Citizen of the Year 2023 Brian Laul and co-directed by Ronna Guzman, the festival brings together more than 50 community groups, schools and cultural organisations. It stands as a powerful example of what can be achieved when communities unite in celebration of diversity and shared values.

In 2026, the festival introduces an exciting new Cultural Showcase, with the Philippines taking centre stage. This addition will highlight the country’s rich traditions, arts and flavours, offering festivalgoers an even deeper cultural experience.

More than just a day out, the Macarthur Multicultural Children’s Festival is a meaningful community initiative that fosters inclusion, understanding and belonging. At a time when connection is more important than ever, this event serves as a reminder of the strength and beauty found in diversity.

Families across Sydney are encouraged to attend, bring their friends, and be part of a celebration that inspires the next generation to embrace culture, creativity and unity.
