According to ABC News, four teenagers have been charged with murder following the death of a 21-year-old Redbank Plains man who was allegedly seriously assaulted in Brisbane’s south late last month.

Emergency services were called to Discovery Boulevard at Bahrs Scrub about 2:15am on July 26 after reports of a large disturbance involving a group of people. Police said they found several damaged vehicles and that a nearby home had also been damaged. The 21-year-old was found nearby on Orchard Avenue with critical head injuries and was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he died on August 1.

Following what police described as an extensive investigation, detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch and the Homicide Investigation Unit executed 14 search warrants across Logan, south Brisbane and Ipswich on Thursday. Five men aged between 18 and 22 were arrested.

Joshua Jackson John Jirima, 18, Amnaud Nduwayo, 19, and Kandour Khalil Tagelsir, 18, have each been charged with one count of murder. Sunday Obol, 19, has been charged with murder as well as intimidation, harassing or abuse, unlawful stalking, robbery, extortion and deprivation of liberty. Mr Jirima, Mr Nduwayo and Mr Tagelsir did not appear when their matters were heard in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday and were remanded in custody. They are each due to reappear on August 24.

Lasender Sheriff, 22, was also charged with contravening an order to provide information necessary to access electronically stored information. He did not appear in court on Friday, was remanded in custody, and is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 26. Police urged anyone with further information to contact them.
