According to ABC News, Fremantle secured the AFL minor premiership with a 24-point win over Adelaide at Perth Stadium, defeating the Crows 16.16 (112) to 13.10 (88). The result lifted the Dockers to a 19-3 record and ensured they will finish the home-and-away season on top of the ladder with one round remaining.

It is Fremantle’s second minor premiership, following its 2013 achievement, and the club’s first 19-win season. The Dockers also completed a perfect 12-0 home-and-away record at Perth Stadium.

Jye Amiss kicked 5.1, while Isaiah Dudley scored three goals and Caleb Serong was influential with 29 disposals, 12 clearances, 536 metres gained and two goals. Josh Treacy took six contested marks but finished with 1.4. Adelaide’s Izak Rankine collected a game-high 39 possessions, alongside 10 clearances, 717 metres gained and one goal.

The scores were level early in the final quarter after Riley Thilthorpe kicked his second goal. Fremantle then pulled clear through Michael Frederick, Amiss and Dudley before Mason Cox added a late goal. The Dockers kicked five goals to three in the final term. Adelaide, now 14-8, faces a fight for a top-four place and remains vulnerable to dropping into the wildcard positions from seventh to 10th.
