Member for Leppington, Nathan Hagarty, has announced that local sports clubs and organisations within his electorate will benefit from a share of $4.4 million in NSW Government funding following the awarding of grants in the Local Sport Grant Program.
The Program provides up to up to $20,000 to individual clubs and associations with $50,000 available in each electorate to increase participation in community sport with 579 projects awarded funding in this year’s program.
Five projects were awarded funding in Leppington for new equipment, programs and facilities valued at almost $50,000.
Projects that received funding include:
- Leppington Gurkhas Recreational Club – Free Soccer Training for local kids (age 4-10)
- Leppington Lions Soccer Club – Inclusive Soccer Community Program and Facility Equipment’s Upgrade
- Eschol Park Football Club – Training Equipment
- Kemps Creek United Soccer Club – Coaching Courses
- Sydney Cricket League Incorporated – The Guts & Glory Global Championship 2024 Second Edition
