On Friday, 11 October 2024, community members gathered at the Grand Royal in Granville for a fundraising dinner honouring Julia Finn MP’s 25 years of dedicated service. Representing the Granville community since 1999, Julia Finn has made significant contributions, first as a Councillor for Parramatta City Council and later as the Member for Granville. The night was a vibrant celebration of her work in both roles, with Julia’s tenure from 1999 to 2016 as Councillor, and since 2015, as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier and for the Arts.
The evening kicked off at 6:30 pm, leading into a night of reflection, laughter, and camaraderie. Attendees included notable political figures and local community leaders. One of the key moments of the night was a speech by the NSW Treasurer, Daniel Mookhey, who praised Julia Finn’s tireless efforts for the Granville community and her role in shaping local policies.
