According to BBC News, UK newspapers lead with a G7 agreement to release 100 million barrels from emergency fuel stockpiles, alongside reports on domestic policy, Manchester City and television presenter Alison Hammond.

The Times says the G7 countries agreed to the release to avert a possible US export ban. France, Germany and Italy are among the countries set to put diesel stocks on the market to ease supply pressures, the paper reports. It says diesel prices at the pump are expected to fall.

The Financial Times also reports on the release of more diesel reserves, while noting that British pumps have passed £2 a litre. Separately, it says John Healey’s first Budget this month is likely to focus on easing cost-of-living pressures for households and businesses rather than imposing tax rises on the scale seen in recent years.

The Daily Telegraph reports that the United Arab Emirates has warned the UK prime minister it could cut billions of pounds of investment in Britain following Manchester City’s guilty verdict. Manchester City were found guilty by an independent commission of most of the 115 charges concerning alleged breaches of Premier League financial regulations; the club continues to deny wrongdoing.

Other front pages include the Daily Mirror’s report that Hammond, 51, was rushed off during Friday’s This Morning while clutching her chest. The paper says she later said she was getting her “old ticker checked out”. The Guardian reports that Education Secretary Lucy Powell will tell Ofsted to revisit school-inspection changes after criticism that the system is stressful and damaging to teachers’ mental health.
