Arabic version: غلوفر تدلي بشهادتها في محاكمة سورجيوفاني بتهمة قتل موريسون
According to ABC News, Hannah Louise Glover told the WA Supreme Court she repeatedly stabbed her former girlfriend, Tara Morrison, in Busselton in April 2024. Glover was giving evidence in the murder trial of James Anthony Sorgiovanni, 29, who is accused of murdering Morrison.
Glover, 30, had also been charged with murder but pleaded guilty part-way through the trial after a woman said Glover had confessed to the killing while they were in prison. She told the court she, Morrison and Sorgiovanni had been using methylamphetamine and GHB, also known as “fantasy”, on the night of the killing.
Glover said Morrison had arrived at her home with clothing and groceries and was planning to stay. She said Sorgiovanni was unhappy with the arrangement because he was jealous. Glover also said the group had run out of money after buying drugs. She testified that she heard her daughter cry and found Morrison holding the toddler and allegedly trying to give her GHB.
After settling her daughter, Glover said Sorgiovanni asked her what she was going to do about it. She told the court that Sorgiovanni grabbed Morrison by the arms before she stabbed her. Glover said Morrison later broke free, but she attacked her again at locations around the house while Sorgiovanni restrained her. When asked by the prosecutor whether she did all the stabbing, Glover agreed and said she believed she stabbed Morrison “10 to 15” times.
Glover said she later saw Sorgiovanni stab Morrison in the chest area and tell her, “it’s done”. Under cross-examination, she denied giving evidence to secure a reduced sentence, trying to frame Sorgiovanni, or that Morrison died solely as a result of her attack. She also rejected a suggestion that Sorgiovanni had tried to pull her away and hold her in a bear hug.
