Governor Abudhok meets President Kiir

Upper Nile state Governor Abudhok Anyang Kur yesterday held a discussions with his Excellency President Salva Kiir about the ongoing fighting between Kitwang factions in Pangkikang County. Mr. Abudhok said the situation in the Pangkikang has become very agonizing to the community while calling on Government intervention to stop such upended conflict among Kitwang splitter groups.

In their discussions regarding how to end the war in the region, the President assured the Governor that he had already requested the chairman of  SPLA IO to mandate the two principles. The two Generals were previously together with Dr. Riek Machar, who is now the country’s first vice president in unity Government headed by president Kiir before accusing their boss of having left them out in the unity Government.

Governor Abudhok also addressed the president about the flood which has ravaged half of the country; however, the continuing flooding has already displace thousands and destroyed thousands homes in greater Upper Nile region where the rising water levels have become an imminent threat.

Meanwhile, President Kiir pledged to the Governor to provide those affected with food and other items.
