After long, hard, and consecutive waves of the pandemic through which many small and large businesses didn’t make it, it’s a great and welcome change to finally see things bouncing back. On Saturday, 18 June, 2022, The Shed Café celebrated their grand opening at Bankstown Central alongside hundreds of friends, guests, and community leaders.

With a proud history in hospitality, excellent food, and powerful coffee, alongside over twenty branches of the franchise Australia-wide, a new location in Bankstown Central is a welcome sight. With a wall of fame, face painting for the kids, and prize draws for participants, the proud owners of the shed, Mr. Romio Georges and his wife and the comedian Tahir welcomed hundreds of guests and public figures including Ms. Wendy Lindsay MP (East Hills), Mr. Jihad Dib MP (Lakemba), Clr. George Zakhia (The City of Canterbury-Bankstown), Clr. Rachel Harika (The City of Canterbury-Bankstown), Mr. Wally Mehanna (Canterbury-Bankstown Chamber of Commerce), Mr. Hisham Zreika (Former Mayor of Auburn), and many more. Moreover, the event was broadcast live via Sawt Sydney Radio where Reporter Nada Farid interviewed many guests and figures including Remy Wehbe, director of Oz Arab Media, who showed their support for small businesses in the Canterbury-Bankstown area and encouraged more investment and confidence in the market despite the looming recession.

The team at Oz Arab Media congratulate The Shed Café in Bankstown Central for their grand opening and wish them all the success and prosperity. You can watch the event again on Sawt Sydney below:
