Arabic version: ترشيح هاريسون وجونز لجائزة «وورلد راغبي»
According to BBC News, England’s Zoe Harrison and Megan Jones are among four nominees for the World Rugby Women’s 15s Player of the Year award. The prize recognises exceptional performances during the 2026 season.
Harrison, 28, is nominated after scoring 88 points from the tee for England this year. Jones, 30, is shortlisted for a second consecutive year. The Red Roses captain missed out on the 2025 award, which was won by Canada’s Sophie de Goede.
The England pair are joined on the shortlist by Canada’s DaLeaka Menin and New Zealand’s Kaipo Olsen-Baker. Harrison and Jones both played important roles as England claimed an eighth successive Women’s Six Nations title in May.
That title formed part of a 41-match unbeaten run for England, which ended with back-to-back defeats by Canada this month. The winner of the individual award will be announced after this weekend’s final WXV Global Series matches. England face the United States on Friday at 21:15 GMT.
Elsewhere, England’s Abi Burton has been shortlisted for Women’s 15s Try of the Year. Her nomination is for a try scored against Australia in the WXV Global Series in September.
