His Grace Bishop Anba Peter, Bishop of North and South Carolina and Kentucky and Papal Deputy for Virginia, presided over the eparchial priests’ conference together with the priests of the state of Virginia in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The conference was organized as part of the eparchy’s care for the spiritual and pastoral life of the priests and to deepen their spirit of fellowship and brotherly love.

The event featured a series of lectures and discussions on important topics affecting a priest’s life and ministry. Key subjects included how a priest should use social media wisely and responsibly in a manner consistent with his priestly mission; the importance of immersing oneself in the Word of God and being nourished by it for spiritual growth and to enrich ministry through Bible study; and strengthening love, unity, cooperation, and fraternal fellowship among the priests. The sessions also emphasized attention to spiritual life and prayer, ongoing growth in the relationship with God, and the priest’s responsibility and pastoral care for his people.
