The community mourns the passing of Emelie El Khoury, who departed this life on 7 April 2026, leaving behind a legacy of grace, strength, and quiet devotion.
Born on 15 May 1948, Emelie lived a life grounded in faith, compassion, and deep care for those around her. She was known for her warm presence, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness—qualities that touched the hearts of family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Guided by her strong faith, Emelie embodied the words of Scripture: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (John 11:25–26). Her life reflected this purity—marked by humility, generosity, and a sincere love for others. Whether through her family life, friendships, or quiet acts of kindness, she left a lasting impression on all who crossed her path.
Emelie will be remembered as a devoted mother, cherished family member, and loyal friend. Her strength in times of challenge and her ability to uplift others will remain a source of inspiration to those she leaves behind.
A funeral service will be held at St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church on Thursday, 9 April 2026, at 12:30 PM. Family, friends, and members of the community are invited to gather in honour of her life and to offer their final farewell.
As loved ones come together to celebrate her life, Emelie’s memory will live on through the countless lives she touched. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit, love, and legacy will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
