With the blessing and prayers of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of the Great City of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of Saint Mark, the priest and congregation of the Church of the Martyr St. Mina and the Great Saint Anthony in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, celebrated this morning, Sunday, August 2, the 48th anniversary of the monastic vows of their beloved pastor, Fr. Bishoy El-Antony. The celebration followed the Divine Liturgy in the hall of the Coptic Education and Conference Centre adjacent to the church, held under the care and in the presence of Rev. Michael Lowndy. A number of Sunday school children, servants, deacons and members of the congregation carried pictures of their father and pastor, Fr. Bishoy, as an expression of their love and appreciation for his blessed service to the church and its people.The church presented a letter of thanks and congratulations to Fr. Bishoy El-Antony, which read as follows:Rev. Michael Lowndy, pastor of St. Mina and St. Anthony Church in the Gold Coast, together with the deacons, servants, committee and congregation, extend their sincerest congratulations to our beloved father, Fr. Bishoy El-Antony, on the occasion of his 48th monastic anniversary. May the Lord grant him every good thing and heavenly blessings, and may he reward the labor of his love, generosity and service to the people of the church with heavenly joy, long life and full health.
