His Grace the Right Reverend Anba Youssef, Bishop of Texas, Florida, and the Southern United States, presided over the Divine Liturgy on the morning of Saturday, September 26, at the Great St. Mark Church in Nashville, the capital of Tennessee. The service was attended by several priests from the church in Nashville.During the liturgy, His Grace blessed new altar vessels. After the Prayer of Reconciliation, he completed the rite of ordaining new subdeacons and elevating others to higher ranks. Among those promoted was Subdeacon Mina Eskandar, who was raised to the diaconate and given the name “Deacon Mina,” in preparation for his ordination as a priest on Sunday morning to serve the people and altar of that same church, amid the joy of the congregation and the church’s subdeacons.
