On Sunday morning, July 5th, His Grace Bishop Joseph, the Bishop of the Diocese of Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Malawi, as well as the Papal Deputy for the Diocese of South Africa and Mozambique, presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Church of Archangel Raphael, St. Mark, and St. Marina in Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi. The service was attended by the church’s clergy, including a priest from the Church of the Virgin Mary and St. John the Beloved in Pickering, Canada, along with a group of church servants from Canada who are engaged in various service activities in Malawi.

During the liturgy, His Grace baptized nine Malawians and ordained two deacons in the church. After the service, Bishop Joseph met with members of the Ethiopian and Eritrean communities in a fatherly gathering characterized by love and simplicity. He encouraged them to remain steadfast in their faith and to grow in their spiritual lives, reaffirming the church’s commitment to all its children.
