On Wednesday morning, March 25, His Grace Bishop Serapion, the Bishop of Los Angeles, Southern California, and Hawaii, presided over the Divine Liturgy at the St. Catherine of Alexandria and St. Verina Coptic Monastery in Hemet, California. The service was attended by esteemed bishops, including Bishop Abraham and Bishop Kyrillos, as well as several priests from the Coptic Church in Los Angeles.

Following the Morning Incense, the bishops performed the consecration of two devoted sisters, Tasouni Gabriella and Tasouni Rafaila, who are now consecrated deaconesses sharing the same name. This ceremony was conducted with the approval and blessing of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, the Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark. It is noteworthy that the late Pope Shenouda III had previously consecrated them as devoted sisters on Saturday, August 28, 2004, at St. George’s Church in Bellflower during his historic visit to the United States.
