In pictures… the ordination of two priests and the promotion of another to the priesthood for our Coptic Church in Zambia by His Grace Anba Paul, General Bishop of Africa.
His Grace Bishop Paul, General Bishop for Evangelism in Africa, presided over the Divine Liturgy in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, on the morning of Sunday, August 2, with the presence and participation of the Coptic Church priests in Zambia.During the Divine Liturgy, following the Prayer of Reconciliation, His Grace celebrated the ordination of Fr. Paul and Fr. Samuel—both Zambian sons—as new priests to serve in Lusaka, and elevated Fr. Makarios to the rank of Hegumen (archpriest). Bishop Paul also ordained several new deacons, including a full deacon named “Deacon Kyrillos,” to assist the priests in their ministry, amid the joy of the priests, deacons, and the congregation.
