Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi emphasized that the relationship between Iran and Lebanon transcends political dimensions, asserting a deep-rooted connection between the two nations. He made these remarks during a meeting with Lebanese officials, where he underscored the historical and cultural bonds that unite them.
According to LBC, Raisi also pointed out that Israel is the primary source of instability in the region. He called for unity among all nations to confront the challenges posed by Israeli actions.
Raisi’s statements reflect Iran’s ongoing support for Lebanon, particularly in the context of the political and military influence of Hezbollah, which Iran backs. The Iranian president’s visit aimed to strengthen ties and promote cooperation in various sectors between the two countries.
The remarks come at a time when regional dynamics are shifting, with Iran seeking to bolster its alliances in the face of perceived threats from Israel and its allies. Raisi’s comments highlight Tehran’s commitment to supporting Lebanon against external pressures.
