According to ABC News, media personality, musician and content creator Isaac Compton has been found not guilty of four charges relating to allegations involving two women at a Newcastle house party in 2024.

Mr Compton, 40, had pleaded not guilty in Newcastle Local Court in March last year to two counts of sexually touching another person without consent and two counts of common assault. The allegations concerned events in the early hours of April 7, 2024, at a house party in Islington, an inner-city Newcastle suburb.

Two complainants gave evidence during a two-day hearing before Judge Trevor Khan. One alleged Mr Compton sexually touched her leg during an alleged assault in the backyard, while the other alleged he rubbed her private area and said he wanted to get intimate.

Judge Khan found Mr Compton not guilty of all four counts, noting inconsistencies in the women’s evidence and finding the prosecution had not proved the case beyond reasonable doubt. He said witnesses had been drinking and that this needed to be considered when assessing their recollections and statements to police.

Mr Compton, a Wiradjuri and Mununjali content creator, won reality television show The Summit in 2023 and previously worked on ABC TV’s That Blackfella Show.
