Arabic version: إسرائيل تبلغ عن ضربات بالطائرات المسيرة والصواريخ من قوات حزب الله
The Israeli military reported incidents of drone and rocket attacks from Hezbollah on May 17, 2026. Sirens were activated in the Misgav Am area of northern Israel, prompting the military to identify a “suspicious aerial target.” According to Middle East Eye, the aircraft ultimately fell near Israeli troops operating in southern Lebanon, with no casualties reported.
In addition to the aerial incident, the Israeli military stated that Hezbollah launched rockets and explosive drones overnight toward Israeli forces stationed in southern Lebanon. The report highlighted that Hezbollah had previously detonated explosive devices aimed at Israeli military bulldozers advancing in the region between the towns of Rashaf and Hadatha.
Hezbollah’s actions included firing rockets at Israeli soldiers and vehicles near Hadatha, escalating tensions in the area. The ongoing military engagements underscore the volatile situation along the Israel-Lebanon border, where both sides remain on high alert.
