Israeli air attacks have killed at least seven people in Gaza, according to Palestinian health authorities. This escalation occurs as Israel continues to violate the ceasefire during the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha.

On Tuesday, at least five Palestinians were killed in an Israeli drone attack on the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza. Civil defense and hospital officials reported that the attack targeted a group of citizens, with several others also wounded and transferred to a hospital. The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital confirmed the death toll from this incident.

Local media reports suggest that the strike was aimed at Palestinians confronting an alleged Israeli-backed armed group in the eastern part of the camp. Following this initial attack, Israel reportedly conducted several more air strikes, including one that hit a family home.

In a separate incident in southern Gaza, at least two additional Palestinians were killed and several others wounded when an Israeli attack targeted a vehicle in Khan Younis. Since the ceasefire was brokered by the United States and Qatar in October 2023, Israel has killed more than 900 Palestinians, while four Israeli soldiers have also died due to actions by Palestinian armed groups.

Israel has acknowledged its support for groups opposing Hamas during its ongoing military operations in Gaza. Reports indicate that these groups have been utilized to create instability within the region, further complicating the situation for residents of the war-torn enclave.
