Israeli air strikes have targeted Blat and Wadi Barghouti in several strikes in the Iqlim al-Tuffah region of southern Lebanon, marking another violation of the ceasefire established in November 2024 between Israel and Hezbollah. According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli military stated that the attacks were aimed at Hezbollah infrastructure, although many civilian areas have also been affected.

Reports indicate that no casualties have been reported so far, with the Israeli military conducting near-daily attacks in the region, and aircraft continuing to fly over southern Lebanon. The Lebanese Al-Mayadeen channel confirmed that these air raids focused on the heights of the al-Tuffah region, while Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV reported that drones were used to drop explosives in the town of Markaba.

The ongoing conflict has escalated since the November ceasefire, which was intended to halt over a year of fighting. Since then, more than 300 individuals have been killed, including 127 civilians, according to United Nations estimates. Recent strikes in the Bekaa Valley resulted in the death of a 16-year-old Syrian boy named Hussein Mohsen al-Khalaf and injuries to 29 others.

Despite the ceasefire agreement, Israel has continued to conduct military operations in Lebanon, claiming to target Hezbollah and Hamas command centers. Hezbollah, on the other hand, has rejected calls for disarmament, asserting that it will not disarm while Israeli attacks persist and the occupation of Lebanese territory continues.
