An Israeli air raid on a home in Gaza has killed three members of a family, including a six-month-old child, according to Al Jazeera. The attack occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, with medical workers from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah reporting the arrival of the bodies of a couple and their young child.

The victims were identified as Mohammad Abu Mallouh, his wife Alaa Zaqlan, and their child Osama. In addition to the fatalities, about 10 people were wounded during the airstrike. There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military regarding the incident.

Since the ceasefire brokered by the United States came into effect in October, Israel has continued with its near-daily attacks across the besieged Palestinian territory, which Gaza health authorities say have killed nearly 900 people. Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud reported that the bombing began as many Palestinians were fleeing due to forced displacement orders, carrying personal belongings with them.

In a separate development, Israeli forces continued demolishing homes and civilian infrastructure in eastern Gaza, particularly in areas designated as military zones. Israeli jets also carried out air raids on Deir el-Balah, causing extensive damage near a local hospital. Earlier reports indicated that at least 2,400 Israeli violations of the ceasefire had been documented, including more than 1,100 air raids and at least 921 shootings targeting civilians.

The ongoing conflict has seen a staggering toll, with more than 72,000 Palestinians reported killed since Israel launched its genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023. While talks between Israel and Hamas aimed at establishing a permanent ceasefire have stalled, both sides continue to blame each other for the ongoing violations. Human Rights Watch has recently highlighted the dire state of Gaza’s humanitarian infrastructure, which remains critically endangered more than six months after the ceasefire began.
