Arabic version: غارة إسرائيلية تقتل أسرة من أربعة أفراد في بيت لاهيا

According to Al Jazeera, an Israeli airstrike killed a Palestinian man, his wife and their two daughters in the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahiya. The attack occurred overnight on Thursday near Kamal Adwan Hospital, sources told the outlet.

An official at Al-Shifa Hospital told the AFP news agency that the bodies of the four Ahmad family members were recovered in pieces. The two children were identified as aged 12 and eight.

Israeli helicopters also opened fire overnight near the Jabalia camp, while artillery fire targeted areas across northern Gaza. The reported attacks came as Israel continued to strike the Gaza Strip despite a United States-backed “ceasefire” that has been in effect since October 2025.

Al Jazeera reported that Israel’s war on Gaza has killed 73,669 people since October 7, 2023, mostly women and children. Local authorities said the total number of injuries had reached 174,652. Palestinian rights advocates have argued that Israel’s goal is to force Palestinians to leave Gaza, while some far-right Israeli officials have openly called for depopulating the enclave. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has said depopulating Gaza, described by some officials as voluntary “immigration” or “migration”, remains the “only solution”.
