According to BBC News,

England recorded a comprehensive 5-1 victory over Major League Soccer side Sporting Kansas City in a practice match on Thursday. Ivan Toney led the charge with a remarkable hat-trick, while teammates Ollie Watkins and Morgan Rogers also contributed to the scoreline.

The friendly, played behind closed doors at England’s Swope Soccer Village training facility, featured players who did not participate significantly in the previous World Cup match against Croatia. This arrangement allowed the squad to gain valuable playing time ahead of their upcoming game against Ghana.

In addition to Toney, several other players, including Jordan Henderson, Eberechi Eze, and Dan Burn, participated in the match. The game was divided into two halves of around 25 minutes each, providing an opportunity for the players to build fitness.

Following their return from Dallas at around 10.30pm local time on Wednesday, the England team was granted most of Thursday off. Players enjoyed time with family and friends, who were allowed into the camp to spend time with the squad. Captain Harry Kane and manager Thomas Tuchel also attended a baseball game later that day, further enhancing team morale before the next challenge.
