The International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) Global Region 2 (Director Seoyeon Lee) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for peace cooperation with Ms. Mujgan Tahery, founder and CEO of the Uniting Circle Multicultural Community Centre in Australia, during the “2025 World Women’s Peace Conference” held at Enford Hotel in Cheongju, Chungbuk, on the 19th of last month.

The agreement includes specific implementation measures for empowering women and promoting a culture of peace, such as the regularization of women’s peace education, expansion of international peace leader exchanges, and strengthening of peace networks within multicultural societies.

Ms. Mujgan Tahery, representative of Uniting Circle, said, “I was deeply impressed by IWPG’s vision and activities through the 9·18 World Peace Summit and the 2025 World Women’s Peace Conference,” adding, “I would like to carry out various peace projects together with IWPG in the Sydney community.”

Seoyeon Lee, IWPG Global Region Director, stated, “The solidarity among Australia’s multicultural communities and women leaders aligns with the values of world peace that IWPG pursues,” and added, “Through this cooperation, more women and youth will have the opportunity to learn and practice peace.”

The two organizations plan to strengthen international peace cooperation by conducting women’s peace education and joint projects, focusing on the Sydney area.
