Local state MPs including Lynda Voltz MLA and Anthony D’Adam MLC attended the launching, in addition to Lisa Lake, Mayor of Cumberland Council, Deputy Mayor Kun Huang, Clr Glenn Elmore, along with Canterbury-Bankstown councillors Rachelle Harika and Chris Cahill. Welcome to Country ceremony was performed by Elder Uncle John Dickson. Regarding Jason Clare’s campaign, it can be summed up in his own words: “The last few years have been really tough. I know a lot of people are stressed, anxious and exhausted. The mistakes Scott Morrison has made this worse. Whether it’s on bushfires, vaccines or floods. We can’t risk another three years of this. Australia is the best country in the world. Our community deserve a better government. Our community deserve a government that has a plan for the future. A plan that will:
  • Strengthen Medicare
  • Help to buy a house
  • Cut the cost of child care
  • Fix the Aged Care crisis and
  • Rebuild our manufacturing industry by making more things in Australia.”
