St. Merkorious Charity’s much-loved Day at the Bay is back on Saturday, 20 September 2025, and you’re warmly invited to be part of it. This family-friendly community day brings people together to enjoy the outdoors, share good food, and raise vital funds to support neighbours doing it tough.
This year’s event is more meaningful than ever. We’re raising funds for our new distribution centre, set to open by Christmas 2025. Once operational, it will enable us to deliver over 7,500 meals every week, helping us tackle poverty at its root by getting nutritious food to individuals and families who need it most.
What to Expect
- Scenic community walk by the bay, followed by a relaxed spring picnic—perfect for families and friends.
- A timed run for athletes and sports enthusiasts who want to challenge themselves and support a great cause.
- Signature community hampers available for purchase, plus exciting raffle prizes.
- A classic bake sale with homemade treats and plenty of sports-based activities for all ages.

Every step you take and every treat you enjoy helps fund our food relief programs. Your support brings dignity and hope to people facing hardship—ensuring children have lunch for school, seniors receive regular meals, and struggling families get a hand up when it matters most.
