Journalist Saleh Ragab, a member of the General Assembly and former candidate for membership in the Syndicate Council, as well as the organizer of the “Ahlan Ramadan” exhibition, announced that starting tomorrow, Thursday, April 2, 2026, the exhibition will feature premium tomatoes priced at twenty pounds per kilo, along with packaged fish, salted fish (feseekh), jumbo shrimp, quail, and duck. These items will be available at the Ahlan Ramadan exhibition at the Journalists’ Syndicate in celebration of the Coptic holidays and Sham El-Nessim.
Saleh Ragab stated that the Minister of Supply, Dr. Sherif Farouk, has decided to supply the Ahlan Ramadan exhibition with all products from the ministry’s companies in line with the celebrations for Coptic holidays and Sham El-Nessim. This decision reflects his belief in the crucial role played by journalists in the nation.
In a related context, Major General Dr. Alaa Nagy, head of the Holding Company, indicated that starting tomorrow, the exhibition will showcase packaged fish, luxurious jumbo shrimp, salted fish, and quail produced from Kafr El-Sheikh, as well as international brand seafood, quail, duck, in addition to meats, game birds, and table eggs at prices that are more than fifty percent lower than the local market rates, as a way to support journalists.
In this regard, Engineer Adel Rushdi, head of the meat company under the Holding Company, stated that upon receiving instructions from the Holding Company, he directed the provision of all the journalists’ needs and the selection of the best products in their honor. He also mentioned that starting tomorrow morning, a specially equipped vehicle will be present in front of the Syndicate to sell these products to journalists. He revealed a surprise that, in line with Dr. Sherif Farouk’s directives, there will also be a vehicle selling premium tomatoes at the price of twenty pounds per kilo.
