The 2025 CBCC Community Christmas Event, hosted by the Canterbury Bankstown Chamber of Commerce, filled Entertainment Park in Bankstown with festive cheer yesterday as families, community leaders and local businesses came together to celebrate the season.
The event created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with children enjoying Christmas activities, families sharing in the joy of the holidays, and volunteers supporting the CBCC’s annual toy drive. Laughter, music and the spirit of giving echoed throughout the venue, reminding everyone of the importance of unity and generosity during the festive season.
This year’s celebration was proudly attended by several distinguished guests. Mrs Kylie Wilkinson, Member for East Hills, joined the community in marking this special occasion. Also in attendance were Canterbury Bankstown Councillors George Zakhia and Wendy Lindsay, who took part in the festivities and engaged with residents throughout the afternoon. Their presence highlighted the strong partnership between local leaders and the community, reinforcing the event’s purpose of fostering connection and goodwill.
The CBCC Community Christmas Event once again proved to be a heartwarming success — a joyful gathering that strengthened bonds, spread kindness and set a positive tone for the holiday season. As families left with smiles, gifts and treasured memories, the event stood as a reminder of how powerful community spirit can be when people come together with a shared purpose.
