According to France 24, a workers’ strike at Kenya’s main airport left travellers grounded, delaying thousands of passengers.

The report appeared in the 31 August 2026 edition of France 24’s Eye on Africa, presented by Georja Calvin-Smith.

The programme also reported that Ghanaian cocoa farmers were increasing their opposition to a new law that would prevent them from using their land for other purposes without permission. In Tunisia, Sidi Bou Said was recognised by UNESCO as important to global heritage.
