According to BBC News, Fantasy Premier League expert FPL Heisenberg believes Ezri Konsa is a hold for gameweek 10 rather than a player to buy. Konsa, priced at £4.8m, has helped Arsenal keep three clean sheets in three Premier League matches, but knee problems mentioned by Mikel Arteta after a midweek Champions League game raise concerns over his immediate future.

With William Saliba fit and back in the squad, new Konsa buyers could need to sell him as early as gameweek 11. Existing owners, however, are advised not to make an automatic sale, with a chance that Konsa starts at home to Hull. Possible later replacements include Brighton’s Luka Vuskovic, Liverpool’s Jeremy Jacquet and Leeds’ Tarik Muharemovic.

The expert said defenders currently offer major value through goal threat, defensive contributions and strong team defences. Bournemouth pair Antonio Silva and James Hill were highlighted as options, with both recording more than nine defensive contributions per 90 minutes. Liverpool defenders Virgil van Dijk and Jacquet were also suggested before Crystal Palace visit.

For underperforming midfielders, the advice is to hold where possible rather than force transfers. Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White remains on penalties and regularly plays 90 minutes, while Manchester United’s Bryan Mbeumo and Brentford’s Kevin Schade were described as decent options despite recent blanks. Brighton’s Pascal Gross and Chelsea’s Morgan Rogers were identified as leading midfield targets.

On captaincy, Erling Haaland remains the safer choice for the trip to Nottingham Forest, but Arsenal defenders provide alternatives. Gabriel offers clean-sheet potential, attacking threat from headers and defensive-contribution points, while Riccardo Calafiori could start against Hull after a full midweek rest.
