KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olatunji, has been a prominent figure in the group, known for creating football, comedy, and challenge videos that have attracted a massive following of 23 million subscribers since 2013.
According to BBC News, KSI’s spokesperson confirmed the news after fans expressed skepticism about the authenticity of his announcement. KSI expressed his feelings in a heartfelt YouTube video, stating, “This is honestly the hardest video I’ve ever had to make in my life.” He explained that he had spent months deliberating over this decision.
KSI reminisced about the early days of Sidemen, noting that he never anticipated the group’s growth to such a large audience. He emphasized that there were no negative circumstances leading to his exit, declaring, “This decision is completely my own.” He acknowledged the demands of his busy life and the need to prioritize his commitments.
The Sidemen collective responded to KSI’s announcement with a statement expressing their surprise and sadness over his departure. They thanked him for their time together and wished him success in future endeavors. Despite KSI’s exit, the group reassured fans that they have exciting plans ahead.
KSI is widely recognized as the most prominent member of the Sidemen, who collectively boast over 140 million subscribers. The group is known for their engaging content, including popular challenges and charity events that have raised millions. KSI, in addition to his YouTube career, is also a musician and former boxer, recently acquiring a minority stake in Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club.
