An elected Minns Labor Government will deliver a major new  $1.1 billion package of road capital upgrades over the next 3 years, bringing new and improved roads across Sydney and Regional NSW.
 

As a part of this package, Labor will commit to:

• $75 million for Bandon Road, Riverstone, on top of the Federal Government’s $75 million to complete the planning and commence the early works on this vital road and flood evacuation route;
• $50 million to fix Hill Road in Homebush; and
• $10 million towards additional entry and exit ramps on the M1 Princes Motorway, around Dapto.

Unlike the Liberals, NSW Labor will not privatise assets to fund infrastructure spending, and we will not prioritise the construction of more toll roads over local roads.
 

Today’s announcement comes on top of Labor’s commitments of:

• $50 million to build and enhance Fifteenth Avenue in Austral to service the new airport and Western Sydney Rapid Bus Network.
• $20 million to expedite delivery of the Tripoli Way in Albion Park.

NSW Labor has a comprehensive plan to deliver the critical infrastructure that New South Wales desperately deserves.
 

Labor will take the tough decisions needed to fund important projects – and will prioritise spending on local roads over tolls roads. This is why a Minns Labor Government will not spend the proposed $10 billion on the Northern beaches toll road.
