Be part of a memorable Opening Night as the Lebanese Film Festival Australia 2026 launches in Bankstown. Held under the patronage of Australian film icon Bryan Brown AM, this year’s festival explores the theme of Resilience Through Storytelling, showcasing powerful stories of identity, belonging, memory, love and survival from Lebanon, Australia and the global diaspora.
Opening the festival is Disorder, an acclaimed anthology film from leading Lebanese directors Lucien Bourjeily, Wissam Charaf, Bane Fakih and Areej Mahmoud, produced by Academy Award-nominated filmmakers Nadine Labaki and Khaled Mouzanar, the creative team behind the internationally celebrated Capernaum.
A bold, moving and darkly funny exploration of contemporary Lebanon, Disorder captures the hopes, struggles and resilience of a generation living through extraordinary times.
