Lebanon’s government has issued a warning to displaced individuals regarding the potential risks of returning home too soon following the recent US-Iran agreement. Officials emphasized that the situation remains precarious and that conditions in many areas may not be conducive for safe return.
According to LBC, the Lebanese authorities highlighted the importance of assessing the security and living conditions before making any decisions about returning to their homes.
The caution comes as many displaced individuals express a desire to return, spurred by the recent diplomatic developments. However, the government stresses that premature returns could lead to further complications and challenges.
Authorities are urging displaced persons to remain patient and await clearer indications of safety and stability in their home regions.
