According to Cnbc, LeBron James teased an upcoming partnership with prediction-markets platform Polymarket in a social media post on Saturday. The NBA’s all-time scorer shared a 14-second video on X that appeared to promote the company.

“Welcome to Polymarket HQ. Coming soon. In partnership with @Polymarket,” James wrote. In the video, he appears in an elevator at Polymarket’s headquarters before heading to the company’s sports floor.

The post previews a broader football-focused campaign involving James and Polymarket, a person familiar with the matter told CNBC. The person, who was not authorized to speak publicly, said further details are expected in the week ahead. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, while representatives for James and Polymarket declined to comment beyond the post.

NBA rules restrict players’ financial interests in companies offering league-related wagering or similar products, including limits on ownership stakes. Prediction markets let users trade contracts tied to whether future events occur, including sports outcomes.

James joins a growing group of athletes, teams and leagues working with prediction-market platforms including Polymarket and Kalshi. Polymarket has partnerships with Major League Soccer, Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, the New York Yankees and the New York Rangers. CNBC previously reported that Polymarket is restructuring its marketing operation and recently hired former Uber Technologies and Lyft executive Travis VanderZanden as chief growth officer.
