BBC presenter Liza Tarbuck is stepping down from her Saturday evening show on Radio 2 after 14 years. She announced her departure to fans on Instagram, expressing that her show had been “the stuff of dreams.”

According to BBC News, Shaun Keaveny, the host of The Rock Show, will backfill her slot until the end of March. Helen Thomas, Head of Radio 2, stated that Tarbuck would be “hugely missed” and wished her the very best of luck for the future.

Tarbuck had hosted her show from 18:00 to 20:00 since 2012. In her Instagram post, she thanked her listeners, saying, “Thousands of people enjoyed each other’s company like great friends… it’s been a privilege.”

Keaveny also commented on her post, praising Tarbuck as one of the greats and expressing hope for her potential return to radio in the future. Radio 2 shared the announcement on Facebook, indicating that Tarbuck had decided she would like her weekends back.
