According to ABC News, members of the Logan community gathered at Mandew Park in Brisbane’s south on Monday evening for a silent reflection following the death of 19-year-old Vana-Reese Schuster-Togiatau.

Ms Schuster-Togiatau, from Jimboomba, was shot in the head and neck at Fitzys Loganholme on October 24. She died in hospital days later. Three men aged between 27 and 38 were also shot in the attack, when at least six bullets were fired from a car into a crowd gathered outside the hotel.

Community members were invited to the park to pay their respects. Bouquets of flowers and messages were placed at the base of a tree, while members of the public stood in silence. Logan Mayor Jon Raven was among those who left flowers in tribute.

A fundraiser launched last week to support Ms Schuster-Togiatau’s family has raised more than $76,000. Police have not identified those involved in the shooting and say they are pursuing several lines of inquiry. Detective Inspector Ian Galpin confirmed last week that more than 80 detectives were involved in the investigation.
