London protesters arrested over pro-Palestine Action placards
More than 40 protesters holding placards in support of direct action group Palestine Action have been arrested in central London by the Metropolitan Police.
The protesters held up placards reading: “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action.”
This marks the second week running that pro-Palestine Action protesters have been arrested for showing support for the group.
The government passed legislation banning Palestine Action as a proscribed group on 4 July, making membership of and support for the group a criminal offence punishable by up to 14 years in prison.
