Arabic version: مادونا تكشف عن موعد إصدار ألبوم Confessions II
Madonna has officially announced that her next album will be a sequel to 2005’s Confessions On A Dancefloor. This new album, titled Confessions II, is set to launch on 3 July. According to BBC News, the announcement follows months of speculation and teasing from the pop icon.
The first taste of the album comes from the opening track, I Feel So Free, which features a throbbing synth bassline and interpolates a line from her classic song Into The Groove. Madonna described the creative process for Confessions II as “medicine for my SOUL,” sharing that her children also participated in the recording sessions.
This upcoming album marks Madonna’s first release since 2019’s Madame X and will be her 15th studio album. She has reunited with British producer Stuart Price, who was instrumental in the creation of the original Confessions On A Dancefloor. The two have been working together again since their collaboration on the 2023 Celebration tour.
In a press release, Madonna emphasized the deeper meaning of dance music, stating, “The dance floor is not just a place, it’s a threshold: A ritualistic space where movement replaces language.” She further described the act of raving as an art form that connects individuals to their community and inner selves.
Fans have eagerly awaited this sequel, with posters promoting the album already appearing in cities worldwide. Additionally, Madonna is expected to make a special appearance with Sabrina Carpenter at the upcoming Coachella Festival, adding to the excitement surrounding her new music.
