Arabic version: فوز مانشستر سيتي يترك الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز في حالة من الغموض

According to BBC News, Toby Alderweireld and Wayne Rooney said Manchester City’s 3-0 victory over Liverpool has left the Premier League in limbo as the club awaits a potential punishment for financial breaches.

The former players discussed the situation on Match of the Day after City’s win against Liverpool. The result was reported as Liverpool 0-3 Manchester City.

Manchester City were found guilty of financial breaches, with a possible sanction including a points deduction. The potential punishment has created uncertainty around the league position and the wider Premier League picture.

Alderweireld and Rooney described the circumstances as “a bad situation”, focusing on why the outcome of the City-Liverpool match adds to the uncertainty while the club waits for a decision on punishment.
