Maronite Ladies of the Gospel Elect New Executive Committee at AGM

The Maronite Ladies of the Gospel (MLOG) held their Annual General Meeting (AGM) at The Chancery, Harris Park. The purpose of the meeting was to elect a new executive committee for the coming year. The meeting was conducted in the presence of the group’s Spiritual Director, Sr Irene, and there were 14 members present along with 5 proxy votes.

The meeting began with a vote to elect the new executive committee. After the votes were tallied, the new executive committee was elected with a majority vote. The new committee includes Shirley Whebe as President, Leila Elkhoury as Vice President, Salwa Bader as Treasurer, Zita Doueihi as Assistant Treasurer, Noelle Ziedan as Secretary, and Mona Kaltoum as Vice Secretary.

After the voting was complete, HE Bishop Tarabay joined the group. His Grace offered his blessings and good wishes to the group and also outlined future events for the Eparchy’s Golden Jubilee and the Patriarchal visit in September 2023.

The meeting concluded with congratulations to the new executive team. The members of the group expressed their excitement to work together in the coming months to plan their agenda for the upcoming year. They are looking forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead.
