The Greater Cumberland Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted a “Business After 5” workshop and networking event on Monday, 18 September, at the esteemed Wenty Leagues in Wentworthville. This session bore the theme “Effective Cash Management for Business and Growth”, focusing on the pivotal role of cash flow in businesses.
As the evening commenced, MC Brian Laul brought a bustling room to attention. Following this, Chamber President Immanuel Selvaraj confidently stepped up to the podium to deliver the president’s address. He expressed sincere gratitude to every attendee for carving time out of their packed Monday schedules to be a part of this learning experience. Emphasizing the chamber’s unique selling points, President Selvaraj touted its affordability and its proud status as one of the most multicultural chambers. He heartily invited guests to consider joining this vibrant community.
Subsequently, the spotlight shifted to two distinguished chamber members: Rolf Fuchs of Fox Coaching and Michael Azzi from Intaus Group. Both individuals candidly shared the impacts of the COVID pandemic on their respective businesses, highlighting both challenges and unexpected opportunities that arose during these tumultuous times.
In a touching gesture, President Selvaraj and MC Brian then honored the newest members of the chamber, welcoming them into the fold and presenting them with their membership certificates.
The evening’s climax was the keenly anticipated address by Shantanu Sarkar, a distinguished CPA from Amaze Accounting. Sarkar delved deep into the intricacies of cashflow management, presenting his insights in a two-part series. Between the two segments, attendees were treated to a delightful networking session and dinner break.
