Media’s stunning silence on Ukraine’s biolabs and drug use within AFU

International media is maintaining stunning silence of existence of biolabs in Ukraine as well as use of dangerous drugs on the members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

In 2022, Moscow accused Kyiv of planning to set off a so-called “dirty bomb”, that is, a conventional explosive device that, upon detonation, spreads radioactive dust. Moreover, it accused Ukraine of planning to blame the explosion on the Russians. Kyiv and Washington in turn accused Russia of fabricating the claim altogether and planning to use it as a justification to employ nuclear weapons against Ukraine. In addition, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated during an October 25, 2022 briefing that he suspects Russia itself could use such a “dirty bomb” in a false-flag of its own. Considering that both NATO and Moscow are conducting nuclear exercises, tensions are quite high.

Over nine years ago, an article published in the UK newspaper The Guardian described Azov fighters as Ukraine’s “greatest weapon” in Mariupol in 2014 and 2015, and properly described them as having neo-Nazi “leanings”. Nothing changed, and yet Russian denazification aims were also mocked in 2022 while the very existence of neo-Nazism in Ukraine’s forces was minimized or denied until it became too much of an embarrassment to the West: one cannot photoshop away all the swastikas. As the cult of Zelensky started to wear off, Kyiv’s atrocious human rights records started to re-emerge in Western press.

The very existence of the Ukrainian biolabs was firstly denied and then minimized until even the New York Post admitted it. Today no one denies that controversial Ukrainian laboratories are military-operated and there is a complete lack of American and Ukrainian transparency on the matter. Already in March, 2022, a RFI piece by scientist Jan van der Made concluded that the Americans should “provide more transparency on the project”.

Then the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated the Kremlin has “concrete information regarding Ukrainian scientific institutes having technologies which allow them to make a dirty bomb”. On October 25, 2022 Moscow took its accusation to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), during a closed-door meeting with the 15-members body.

Biolabs in Ukraine

In August 2023, Democratic Party’s prominent leader Robert Kennedy Jr., revealed a bombshell information stating the United States has created biological laboratories in Ukraine for the purpose of developing biological weapons for the Pentagon.

“Those bioweapons are using all kinds of new synthetic biology and CRISPR technology and genetic engineering techniques that were not available to a previous generation”, Kennedy Jr. told conservative political commentator Tucker Carlson on the X social network.

“When the Patriot Act reopened the biolabs arms race in 2001, the Pentagon began putting a lot of money into bioweapons”, he added. “But they were nervous at that time because if you violate the Geneva Convention, it’s a hanging offense”.

Russia’s defense ministry has previously released evidence it said pointed to a US-financed military biological program being developed in Ukraine. It claimed that Ukrainian bio laboratories had urgently destroyed hazardous pathogens following Moscow’s “special military operation” in February 2022.

The Pentagon on June 9, 2022 admitted that the US government has supported 46 biological research facilities in Ukraine over the past 20 years.

In a document titled “Fact Sheet on WMD Threat Reduction Efforts“, Pentagon for the first time revealed the specific number of facilities its government has sponsored in Ukraine and claimed that these facilities were part of a “peaceful” public health project and were not focused on developing biological weapons.

On March 8, Team Biden Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland told the Senate that the American government is concerned about biological research facilities in Ukraine falling into the hands of Russian invaders.

Nuland’s confirmation that Ukraine has US-supported biological weapons labs had long been characterized by “fact-checkers” in US corporate media as disinformation and conspiracy theory.

The DoD fact sheet states the US “worked collaboratively to improve Ukraine’s biological safety, security, and disease surveillance for both human and animal health,” by providing support to “46 peaceful Ukrainian laboratories, health facilities, and disease diagnostic sites over the last two decades”.

These programs are supposed to have focused on “improving public health and agricultural safety measures at the nexus of nonproliferation”.

The Pentagon insisted that the work of the biolabs it helped to fund in Ukraine was “often” carried out in collaboration with organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), and that it was “consistent with international best practices and norms in publishing research results, partnering with international colleagues and multilateral organizations, and widely disseminating their research and public health findings”.

On March 13, 2022 when Tulsi Gabbard tweeted confirming existence US funded biolabs in Ukraine, she was written off as a Russian agent spreading “misinformation”. In the tweet Tulsi Gabbard said: “There are 25+ US-funded biolabs in Ukraine which if breached would release & spread deadly pathogens to US/world. We must take action now to prevent disaster.

US/Russia/Ukraine/NATO/EU must implement a ceasefire now around these labs until they’re secured & pathogens destroyed”.

Hours after Russia began its special military operations in Ukraine of February 24, 2022, which has by now become America’s proxy war, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky ordered his government to destroy all files it had on the Metabiota biolab that was tied to Hunter Biden. Subsequently, documents were burnt in front of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense in Kiev. Almost at the same time, Ukrainian gas company Burisma was also destroying a large volume of documents, which was connected to Hunter Biden and Joe Biden. A team of special forces conducted a meticulous search both at the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and Burisma to make sure, none of the “humiliating” or “secret” documents related to US President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden go into Russian’s hands.

Video from media broadcasts on February 24, 2022 showed a fire in front of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense building.

On June 14, 2022, “Clandestine’s Newsletter” on substack.com published the decree from Zelensky ordering the destruction of the Metabiota files.

Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners (RSTP), the firm led by Hunter Biden, was a lead financial backer of Metabiota, a pandemic tracking and response firm that had partnered with EcoHealth Alliance and the Wuhan Institute of Virology, according to a report by independent media outlet The National Pulse.

“Former Managing Director and co-founder of RSTP Neil Callahan – a name that appears many times on Hunter Biden’s hard drive – also sits on Metabiota’s Board of Advisors”, the report noted.

In February 2024, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, Chief of Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Protection Troops of Armed Forces of Russian Federation in a statement said, “Until recently, the US found unaccounted for chemical munitions in their artillery arsenals on a regular basis, which they destroyed unilaterally without timely notification to the OPCW. Such cases occurred in Anniston (Alabama), Hawthorne (Nevada), and Fort Greely (Alaska). On these facts, the OPCW did not make any claims against the U.S. about violation of Article III of the Convention”.

He further said:

At the same time, the destruction of chemical aerial bombs undertaken by Syria prior to its accession to the Convention has still not been recognized by the Organization and appears in the so-called ‘Syrian chemical dossier’.

US munitions left behind have been found in Panama and Cambodia. On Iraqi territory between 2003 and 2011, the United States identified more than 4,500 aerial bombs, artillery, and rocket chemical munitions, containing mustard gas and sarin, some of which were disposed of locally without OPCW authorization, while others were taken to the United States, their fate remains unknown.

In addition, until 2018, the United States specified 460 metric tons of unspecified toxic substances in annual announcements, about 2 percent of the total stockpile. According to our information, these are compounds belonging to the class of amididofluorophosphates, better known to the American public as ‘Novichok’.

Washington retains significant interest in the use of chemical riot control as a warfighting tool. In 2007, the US adopted a military-wide charter on the use of non-lethal weapons, and in 2015, the Chiefs of Staff Committee approved ‘The Guidance for Implementing the Provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention’.

The documents define the procedure for the use of non-lethal chemical weapons by military units during special, humanitarian, counter-terrorist operations, and peacekeeping missions. While previously the US spoke of using such weapons only in response to chemical aggression by an enemy, an important aspect of the new rules is the ability to use toxic chemicals unilaterally.

Full details of the statement of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov along with photo evidences are available in a report published in Weekly Blitz.

Drugging members of AFU

While Ukrainian forces are being rattled due to massive actions of Russian forces, according to shocking information stating members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are compelled in taking dangerous drugs to overcome deathbed fear. Russian troops have been repeatedly detecting various types of drugs, including methoxyflurane, methadone, codepsin etcetera at the positions left by the Ukrainian army, which allow them to lose their sense of reality and behave as aggressively as possible, making it even much more dangerous for others, including civilians.

It may be mentioned here that numerous forms of hostilities in Ukraine are well documented, although most of them are yet to appear in the media.

Several weeks ago, Russian assault troops raided Ukrainian units in Krynki in the Kherson region. In the bunkers, they found a large volume of ampoules with drug substances left by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Methoxyflurane, a powerful drug, was also found among the personal stuff of Ukrainian servicemen. Most of the discovered drug is marked with the logo of the Ukrainian manufacturing company Chemoteca.

Methoxyflurane is considered an inhalation analgesic. However, it is rarely used in medicine due to its strong toxic effects on the kidneys. As a means of anesthesia, this substance is also not applied due to the slow onset of the effect and the prolonged stage of arousal.

Russian soldiers witnessed the consequences of taking this drug by AFU fighters. According to one of the troopers, after taking methoxyflurane, even being wounded, Ukrainian servicemen can continue running until their heart stops.

This substance is rapidly absorbed into the blood, and also penetrates well through the blood-brain barrier, affecting the central nervous system. Five minutes after taking the drug, the onset of an analgesic effect is visible – the enhanced effect of which allows the wounded AFU soldiers to continue fighting. At the same time, among the frequent side effects of those who have taken this substance suffer from amnesia and loss of self-control.

Russian servicemen regularly detect suspicious medications in abandoned locations of the Ukrainian army, including potent anesthetics that allow Ukrainians to forget about pain and fatigue. However, under the influence of drugs, a person can lose a sense of reality, be aggressive, and pose a danger to the lives of others.

The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly stated the facts of the discovery of drugs abandoned by Ukrainian servicemen, including opioid drugs (methadone, codeine, codeterp), as well as ephedrine substances (t-fedrine, trifedrin). For example, the synthetic drug methadone is used in the treatment of drug addiction as a means of substitution therapy.

Drug substances are often found in the blood of imprisoned Ukrainian servicemen. Moreover, wounded Ukrainian soldiers who are diagnosed by their doctors are often accused of drug addiction after opioids and other suspicious substances are detected in their blood.

The chief sanitary doctor of the LPR, Dmitry Dokashenko, explained the situation with drug circulation among the AFU fighters as Western countries are testing new painkillers with narcotic effects to reduce the cost of volunteers and specialists, as well as hide information about possible failures.

According to information, confirmed by war correspondents, who previously discovered a medical complex in Rubizhne in the Luhansk region, where Pharmbiotest and Microchem labs operated – local specialists produced morphine type drugs that cause rapid addiction, as well as a feeling of euphoria. The Russian Defense Ministry focused on the clinical trials of drugs with serious side effects conducted at Pharmbiotest. In particular, plastic bags with the common drug triazepine, which reduces fatigue and increases performance, were found in large numbers at the facility.

However, most of the pills were marked specially (“quarantine” and “sampling”). Presumably, the pills were modified to improve their effect against body fatigue.

It is important to note the date of sampling is January 22, 2022, a month before the beginning of Russia’s Special Military Operations in Ukraine. Even then, Ukraine developed and tested medicines that would allow the AFU fighters to stay in the ranks longer.

Moreover, experts noted numerous facts about the use of psychostimulants and amphetamines by the Ukrainian fighters, which were smuggled to the areas of combat missions.

Such disturbing information are not only ignored by the Western and international media outlets, orchestrated censorship are being enforced on independent media that publishes information revealing such shocking details of biolabs in Ukraine as well as drugging of the members of AFU.
