Mohamed Hage OAM to be Celebrated as Arab Australian of the Year at Prestigious Oz Arab Media Gala

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to fostering Australia’s multicultural fabric and economic ties with Arab nations, Mohamed Hage OAM has been awarded the prestigious Arab Australian of the Year Award. This accolade, presented by the Australian International Multicultural Association (AIM Association) in partnership with Oz Arab Media, is a testament to Hage’s over two decades of commitment in enhancing Australia’s relationship with the Arab world.

As the President and National Chairman of the Australian Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AACCI), Mohamed Hage has been a key figure in enhancing economic and cultural relations between Australia and Arab countries. His leadership has been central to initiating and driving several public sector economic projects. These projects include critical Free Trade Agreements and fostering Foreign Direct Investments, which have played a substantial role in bolstering bilateral trade and investment flows, thereby bridging cultural and economic gaps between the two regions.

Mohamed Hage’s journey has been marked by significant achievements, notably the prestigious Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) and the NSW Premier’s Medal for Economic Participation. These awards highlight his remarkable contributions in trade, cultural exchange, and community leadership. The OAM, one of Australia’s highest honors, recognizes Hage’s exceptional service in fostering economic ties between Australia and Arab countries, while the NSW Premier’s Medal acknowledges his efforts in promoting economic participation and development within New South Wales. These accolades reflect Hage’s influential role in enhancing multicultural relationships and economic collaborations.

The Arab Australian of the Year Award will be formally presented to Mr. Hage at the Oz Arab Media’s Second Annual Gala Dinner, scheduled for May 17, 2024, an event anticipated to gather distinguished guests from various sectors, celebrating the vibrant multicultural tapestry of Australia.
