According to ABC News, a Victorian magistrate has struck out a drink spiking charge against Melbourne socialite Amy Tossoun over an allegation connected to a Mount Buller hotel.

Lawyers for Ms Tossoun appeared in Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday after an application to have the matter returned to court was granted. Ms Tossoun, 34, had faced charges of introducing a drug of dependence into another person’s body and possessing an amphetamine.

The report said Magistrate Heather Lambick struck out the alleged drink spiking charge. The magistrate also granted Ms Tossoun a diversion in relation to the amphetamine possession charge, which was withdrawn. ABC News said a diversion plan was ordered to be put in place in connection with that possession matter.

Ms Tossoun did not attend Wednesday’s hearing. An application for an order in relation to the case remains listed for October 14.

Ms Tossoun is a co-founder of the Melbourne-based dentistry practice The Richmond Dentist and is regularly seen on the socialite circuit. ABC News said it had contacted her for comment.
