According to ABC News, terrestrial Network 10 channels will disappear from television screens in Mount Gambier and the Riverland in South Australia, and Griffith and the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area in New South Wales, after Network 10 and WIN Network did not reach a new agreement.

WIN said it will stop broadcasting 10, 10 Drama and 10 Comedy in the affected markets, with final broadcasts scheduled for Friday, October 9. The parties had negotiated for months after the agreement was due to expire in July. Network 10 provided its feed to WIN free of charge for three months while talks continued.

A WIN spokesperson said providing Network 10 services to the markets was “no longer viable”, citing high transmission and infrastructure costs, digital disruption, declining audiences and reduced advertising revenue. The company said those economics would make it challenging to maintain services across regional Australia.

Network 10 said viewers could continue accessing its channels online and through its app. It said WIN holds the broadcast licences in the Riverland, Mount Gambier and Griffith regions, and had advised that operating them was no longer commercially viable.

The change follows a previous interruption to Seven Network services in the same markets after Seven and WIN failed to agree on a deal. In 2024, Mildura audiences also lost Network 10 channels when Mildura Digital Television closed.
